01 — Who we are

KEEL

KEEL is a mobile application designed to support non-birthing partners through the first 12 months of the postpartum period.

02 — What we collect

Account data

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your email address
• Your first name
• Your baby's date of birth (used to calculate your postpartum week and personalise content)

Usage data

We collect data about how you use the app — which features you interact with, lessons completed, and streak activity. This helps us understand what is useful and improve the product.

Chat messages

If you use the Ask tab, your messages are processed by Anthropic's API to generate responses. Pro users have their conversation history stored in our database. Free users have conversation history stored locally on their device only and is not transmitted to our servers.

Payment data

We do not store payment card details. Payments are processed by Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play) and by RevenueCat, which manages subscription entitlements on our behalf.

03 — Why we collect it

• Email — to authenticate your account and send essential service communications
• Name — to personalise your experience inside the app
• Baby's date of birth — to determine your postpartum week and serve week-appropriate content
• Usage data — to improve the product and understand which features are valuable
• Chat messages (Pro) — to provide conversation history across sessions

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

04 — Third parties

Services we use

• Firebase Authentication — manages account login and session security
• Supabase Database — stores your account data and Pro conversation history, hosted on servers in the European Union
• Anthropic AI API — processes chat messages to generate responses. Messages sent to the Ask tab are transmitted to Anthropic. Anthropic's privacy policy applies: anthropic.com/privacy
• RevenueCat Subscription management — handles purchase verification and entitlement status

We share only the minimum data necessary with each service for it to function. We do not share your data with any other third parties.

05 — Data storage and security

Your account data and Pro conversation history are stored on Supabase servers located in the European Union. We use row-level security to ensure your data is accessible only to your account.

Free user conversation history is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage and is never transmitted to our servers.

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

06 — Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is deleted from our servers within 30 days.

Local data stored on your device (AsyncStorage) is removed when you uninstall the app.

07 — Your rights

Under GDPR and Swiss data protection law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to processing of your data
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format

08 — Children

KEEL is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

09 — Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated via the email address on your account. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
